Japan Partnership for Circular Economy (J4CE)
The “Japan Partnership for Circular Economy (J4CE)” was founded by MOE, METI and Keidanren for the purpose of strengthening public and private partnerships, with the aim of further fostering understanding of the circular economy among a wide range of stakeholders, including domestic companies, and promoting initiatives in response to the accelerating global trend toward a circular economy.
Declaration of Partnership Building
The Council on Promoting Partnership Building for Cultivating the Future, which consists of members including the chairman of Keidanren, the president of the Japan Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the chairman of the Japan Trade Union Confederation, and relevant ministers (of the Cabinet Office; the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry; the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare; the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries; and the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism), established a framework for the Declaration of Partnership Building. The Declaration of Partnership Building declares in the name of the representative of the company that it will build new partnerships by promoting cooperation, coexistence, and co-prosperity with business partners in the supply chain and businesses seeking to create value.
Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO)
The Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil, led by seven related organizations including the World Wildlife Fund, was founded in 2004 amid rising concerns for the environmental and human rights impacts caused by the rapid expansion of oil palm plantations in Malaysia and Indonesia.
Japan Clean Ocean Material Alliance (CLOMA)
CLOMA was founded as a platform for collaborating with a wide range of companies and organizations across various industries to accelerate innovation geared toward implementing proper waste management, strengthening initiatives related to the 3Rs (recycle, reduce, and reuse), and developing and promoting alternative materials to biodegradable plastic with the aim of reducing marine plastic waste.
Plastics Smart
This is a Ministry of the Environment initiative to raise awareness about correctly processing and recycling plastics and to promote activities to build a healthier relationship with plastic while understanding biomass plastics and alternative materials.
Battery Association for Supply Chain
This organization was established to promote activities for realizing a decarbonized society, such as international standardization and the building of battery ecosystems within the battery supply chain (involving industries related to battery materials, parts, and their raw materials).
Japan Health and Nutrition Food Association
The Japan Health and Nutrition Food Association (JHFA) is a public interest foundation established in 1985. With the aim of supporting healthy diets in Japan, the JHFA ensures the safety of dietary supplements and develops an environment in which supplements with the correct contents can be freely selected and provided.
